Coda Plastics Earns AA Grade BRCGS Accreditation Once Again

Coda Plastics has once again been awarded an AA grade in the BRCGS Global Standard for Packaging Materials. The latest issue 7 standard introduced significant updates focussing on risk management, sustainability, and compliance - the AA rating is the highest level of certification available. It’s something we’re genuinely delighted about because it reflects the care and attention we put into every single product we make.

This accreditation is more than just ticking a few boxes. It is proof that our focus on quality, product safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance is recognised at an international level. Our clients can therefore continue to trust us to deliver packaging that meets the highest standards, every time.

What the Accreditation Means

The BRCGS (Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standard) is one of the most respected benchmarks for packaging manufacturers worldwide. To achieve an AA grade, every part of our operation - from how we manage materials to how we monitor hygiene and traceability - is independently audited to make sure it meets the toughest industry requirements.

It means that:

  • Consistent quality - Over the decades we have invested heavily in state-of-the-art facilities and technology. We have also implemented rigorous manufacturing processes. All of this is to ensure that every item that leaves our facility is produced to the same high standards as the previous one. We have worked hard to achieve that level of consistency and it is something that we are incredibly proud of.
  • Hygiene - Clean and hygienic facilities are at the core of what we do. It is something that we take incredibly seriously. From the way we handle our materials to the equipment we use, we have processes in place to ensure that the integrity of your products and the people behind them are protected.
  • Full traceability - We can trace every component right back to its source. That means we know where it came from, how it’s been stored, and who’s handled it along the way. This attention to detail gives our customers complete confidence in the products we deliver.
  • Continuous improvement - We are proud of what we do. We’re never content to stay still though and whether it is refining our manufacturing techniques, investing in new technology, employee engagement, or listening to customer feedback, we’re always on the lookout for new ways to raise the bar.

What It Means for Our Clients

This accreditation gives our clients extra confidence that their packaging is being made in a facility that takes quality seriously. Whether you’re in food, drink, personal care, pet care, or household goods, you can be sure that your packaging has been produced safely, responsibly, and right here in the UK.

Being UK-based also means we can keep things moving quickly. Unlike overseas shipments there is no waiting around or stress from having to deal with customs delays. Our team are always on hand when you need us so you can be sure of straightforward production and short lead times.

What We Can Do

This AA rating covers all of the manufacturing conducted at our facility in Norfolk. This includes:

  • Extrusion Blow Moulding - We produce sturdy bottles and jars from a range of materials, including LDPE, HDPE, and PP.
  • Injection Moulding - We create detailed components, closures, and dispensing systems with accuracy and care.
  • Injection Blow Moulding - We can support customers with the creation of small and intricate containers - especially when strength and precision are key priorities.
  • Stretch Blow Moulding - We design and manufacture a range of PET bottles that both look great and perform well.

Our Ongoing Commitment

We have been manufacturing plastic packaging right here in the UK for over 50 years now. While we are obviously proud of this latest achievement, we are by no means standing still. Our aim is to continue investing in new technologies, exploring sustainable materials, and improving all areas of how we work.

Our growing use of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics is one example of how we’re helping clients reduce their environmental impact without compromising on quality.

A Word of Thanks

We’d like to thank our brilliant team for making this possible. Their hard work, skill, and attention to detail are what keep us at the top of our game - and make sure our clients always get packaging they can rely on.
